Molecular formula Na2CO3, powdery or fine-grained crystalline anhydrous substance, easily soluble in water, aqueous solution is alkaline, can absorb CO2 and water when exposed to air at room temperature, and release heat, gradually converting into NaHCO₃ and agglomerating.
