Molecular formula NaHCO3, white crystalline powder, odorless, salty, soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol, the solution is weak alkaline, heat release carbon dioxide, acid violent decomposition,decomposes slowly in moist air.
Application Area
The application of environmental protection is mainly in the discharge of "three wastes". Such as: steel plant, coking plant, cement plant tail gas desulfurization should use sodium bicarbonate. Some chemical factories and biopharmaceutical factories use sodium bicarbonate as deodorant etc. As an additive to alkaline chemical raw materials, it produces natural pH buffers, catalysts and reactants; it is used in industry and household cleaning, such as replacing saponins in soap; in the metal industry, it is used as an important smelting co-solvent and sand foundry process. Molding aids and are widely used in concentration ratio of flotation process.
